How Can We Help?

Upcoming Releases

You are here:
Updates are generally released on the last Monday of every month and here’s what you can expect in the upcoming releases (Q4 2020-Q1 2021)

Feature enhancements

#1 Stripe integration

We are working on integrating Stripe with our forms such that our customers can use our platform to receive payments from their customers.

#2 Sintel BI

We already have a Sintel Grid SPFx web part that our enterprise customers use to display data captured from their forms. We are extending this into a new product called Sintel BI which will enable our customers to build reports and dashboards using the data captured in their forms. For partners this will enable the building of apps including forms, workflow, logic and reporting that can then be provided as a ready to use template to their customers. Take a look

#3 Auto expand settings for multi line text fields

You will be able to configure multi line text fields to auto expand to show all contents rather than displaying a vertical scrollbar.

#4 Clone conditions and steps within rules

For forms that utilise a lot of rules you will be able to clone both Conditions and Steps to make it much faster to configure your logic.

#5 Embed Action comments in workflow emails

When a user completes an Action on a form and that action captures a comment customers will be able to embed the comment in emails send by the workflow. For example, if a user rejects a form and enters a reason for the rejection then that reason can be included in the email that is sent when the form is rejected.

#6 Sections with duplicate fields

Designers will be able to add a field multiple times to a form by adding it into different sections. This is similar to how InfoPath used to work however instead of creating multiple views with different layouts you will be able to use sections to accomplish the same result. This will make it easier to use a single form for complex scenarios and reduce the reliance on logic to control the visibility of fields on forms. It will also make the design of forms much quicker.

#7 Extend workflow for use with linked list items

Many customers use forms with linked list items and want to be able to configure a Sintel Forms Workflow on those linked list items. We are working on extending our workflow functionality to enable this scenario. For example, if a form is created and contains a list of action items that are assigned to 1 or more individuals you will be able to configure a workflow to notify the relevant people for each individual action item.

#8 Reader Acknowledgement / Read & Understand

We will add a feature that will enable the use of Sintel Forms for reader acknowledgement or read and understand scenarios. This will enable customer to capture confirmation from both internal and external users that they have read and understood the content on a form.

Also under development

#1 More logic options

Customers have been asking to extend the logic for various use cases so we are going to add the ability to disable certain features in some cases. This will include things like disabling the attachments or Conversations when users are not in a particular group or when a form is in a particular state.

#2 Improved integration with Power Automate (previously Microsoft Flow)

While Sintel Forms has it own built in Workflow engine that meets the requirements of most customers, Sintel Forms also works very well with Power Automate. You can already use the built-in workflow mechanism in conjunction with Power Automate and we are adding some exciting new features to improve the integration even further.
